Sorry Dad, but your actions in WWII spoke louder to me than your words!
I wish I had, had the opportunity to personally save lives like you did, but I Can only hope that during my 30 months in Vietnam, my job of having the responsibility, for saying fly or no fly due to weather conditions, enabled the AF fighter/bombers and the Army Airborne and Marine attack helicopter's as well as the "Dust off" Medical Evac Choppers to do their jobs, was at least indirectly responsible for helping to save even more American lives..
